Exercise Rehabilitation
We offer post-operative rehabilitation and have a fully equipped rehabiliation gym at clinic. We firmly believe to prevent re-injury you cannot rely on hands on treatment alone. Restrengthening and rebalancing not only the injured area but the whole body will fix the causes of the issue not just provide a quick fix that doesn't last when you go back to activity.
Shockwave Therapy
Shockwave Therapy is the gold standard treatment for chronic tendon problems when combined with specific rehabilitation. It is a very effective evidence based treatment for conditions such as plantar fasciitis, Achilles or patella Tendinopathy and tennis elbow. It works by sending a high frequency sound wave into the tissues to stimulate a healing response within the tendon.
Dry Needling
Dry needling is technique based on acupuncture that targets trigger points within the tissue with the aim or reducing pain. We use it at Active Body alongside a exercise based rehab program to elicit optimum results.

We are now registered with all major health care providers for physiotherapy services
Shockwave Therapy
If included during a physiotherapy/sports therapy appointment a £10 supplement will be added . Stand alone treatment as referral £45 per session.
Please note that Active Body Clinics rates for 45 minute physiotherapy and sports therapy appointments will be increasing from 1/8/23 to £50. We have tried to absorb the extra running costs for a long as possible but unfortunately we are now in a position that we must increase prices a little.
Sports massage rates will remain the same.
